CASH WELL SPENT IN BUYING YOUR CASHMERE

One of misconceptions in women’s accessories is in the concept and use of the word “cashmere”. Prized for its softness and its ability to insulate, cashmere is a type of fiber that is used to produce and manufacture expensive sweaters, scarves, and even hats. Cashmere as a type of fiber is sourced from Kashmir, an area in Area, known for cashmere goats. As British colonized Kashmir, traders and merchants export this type of fiber and had started the demand for cashmere among upper class families and in fashion houses. The cost of exporting and the labor necessary to produce cashmere and the demand among upper echelons of the society had lead to the escalation of prices of cashmere.

Cashmere is extensively popular to produce high quality sweaters and scarves that are in demand in highland and cold areas. Majority of cashmere today is produced in parts of China and Mongolia, and in particular those goats that are specifically raised in Gobi Dessert. Because of its soft and pale hair, cashmere coming from this part of the globe are dyed in accommodate color and fashion demands. Those that are produced in Iran, India, and Turkey are paid for mostly half of the costs of those that are in Gobi Dessert as goat hair from these countries are gray and stiffer.

Cashmeres, if well taken cared of, could last for years and is highly durable. Cashmere should be washed by hand with mild soap. To dry, it is recommended that cashmere should be patted off with a dry towel before laying it to dry.
